Ceramic Clay Clock from Israel

"11:20 a.m."
24" x 36"
oil on canvas
$630.00
I brought this clock home from Israel. The sun came into my kitchen and lit up these amazing geometric patterns behind the summer flowers and the bowl of fruit. It was a painting before I could put paint to canvas.

A clef (French: clef "key") is a musical symbol used to indicate the pitch of written notes.[ Placed on one of the lines at the beginning of the staff, it indicates the name and pitch of the notes on that line. This line serves as a reference point by which the names of the notes on any other line or space of the staff may be determined.

In my paintings color, values, and line serve to indicate the reference for the viewer. Then it is their point of reference that transports them to experience the art in a personal way.

That is the goal of any art, isn't it?

Rina Thau Becoming an Artist

Frequently I am asked why I decided to become an artist.
This question was a rather difficult one for me to answer
because the truth is, I did not choose art -- but rather,
I feel art choose me. From childhood influences to my
current work, artistic forms were always a means I used
to help me with the world.
